Campaign Notebook

Keep your solo campaign in one place: a simple character sheet, a journal of what happened and an inventory that adds up what your hero carries. It saves on your own device, works offline and can be printed or backed up.

How to use the notebook

Start with the character: a name, a one-line concept, a hit point pool and any stats your game uses. You choose the names and the numbers, so it works with any system. Track damage with the plus and minus buttons and add conditions like Poisoned or Tired while they last. Then write a short journal entry after each scene: what you asked, what the dice said and what changed. Two or three lines are enough, and the newest entry always sits at the top. Use the inventory for gear, coins and treasure. Give an item a weight if your game tracks carrying capacity, set a carry limit, and the notebook tells you when you are over it. Move things between carried and stored when your hero leaves gear at camp or at home.

Why keep a journal in solo play

With no game master, your journal is the memory of the game. It stops you from forgetting the name of the innkeeper, the promise you made or the thing you decided not to open. It also turns a run of dice rolls into a story you can reread. If you are stuck for something to write, try the journal prompts.

  1. Write after each scene, not each roll.
  2. Note names and promises. People, places and debts come back later.
  3. Record the question and the answer. "Is the bridge guarded? Yes, but..." is a story seed.
  4. End with a hook. One line about what you want to find out next makes it easy to start the next session.

Your notes stay yours

Nothing is uploaded or shared. The notebook lives in your browser on this device, so it works with no signal once the page has been opened, and it never sends you a notification. Because it lives only on this device, download a backup file now and then. You can restore it on another phone or computer with Restore from file, or save a plain text copy to keep in your own notes. To keep a paper copy, use Print and choose Save as PDF or send it to a printer.

This notebook is a simple helper and not a full character builder. It works with any game and uses plain names and numbers you define yourself.
