Goblin Generator
Small, quick and never alone, goblins win by numbers, nerve and dirty tricks. A single goblin is a nuisance; a warren of them is a war.

What it is
Goblins are wiry, sharp-eared scavengers who live in cramped tunnels and ruins near the edges of settled land. They respect strength, cunning and loot, roughly in that order, and fear anything bigger that does not run.
Where it lives
Caves, abandoned mines, the cellars of ruined keeps, and thickets close to roads where travellers make easy pickings.
Using it in solo play
Ask the oracle whether they are scouts, a raiding party or the whole warren before you decide to fight. Goblins break and run when their leader falls, so a clever hero can win without a long battle.
Use whatever numbers your game gives a creature like this; the roller supplies the story. Pair it with the yes/no oracle to decide how it reacts, and save anything worth remembering to your notebook.
