Solo RPG Podcasts and YouTube Channels Worth Following

Want to hear how other people play alone? These solo RPG podcasts and channels are good places to start.

Three good places to listen and watch

Hearing other people play alone is one of the fastest ways to learn. These shows are a friendly starting point, listed in no particular order. We link to each show's own page, and we checked every link on 2026-10-09. Some shows publish on YouTube and others on podcast apps, so use whichever platform you like.

The Solo RolePlayers Podcast

Rolling Alone

A fortnightly audio magazine about solo tabletop play, with interviews, short reviews and segments on tools and terms. Its episode page links to the main podcast apps.

Good for: a regular, magazine-style way to keep up with new solo games and tools.

Listen or watch

Man Alone

YouTube channel · a solo RPG creator

A video channel about solo tabletop roleplaying that also touches journaling games, philosophy and psychology. The creator also writes a newsletter and publishes games on itch.io.

Good for: players who prefer watching a game being played and talked through.

How to get the most from them

Listen for the habits, not the rules. Notice how players phrase questions, how they read a surprising answer, and when they decide to skip a scene. Then try those habits at your own table with the yes/no oracle and a quest hook. If a show names a game you like, look for it in our guide to popular solo RPGs.

A note on these links
