Card Meanings for Solo Play
Every card in a standard deck and a tarot deck, with the short story prompt our Card Draw tool uses. Keep it open beside a real deck: draw a card, find it here, and read it as a prompt for your solo game.
How to read a card in solo play
These are prompts, not predictions. Read the suit as the part of life the card is about and the rank as what is happening there, then connect it to the question you just asked. A card that does not fit is a twist: ask what would make it fit. If you use a real deck, shuffle it, draw, and look the card up below. The meanings are original and written for fiction; they are not fortune telling.
Standard playing cards
Suits: Hearts for feelings and relationships, Spades for conflict and danger, Diamonds for wealth and trade, Clubs for effort and action. Aces start something, tens finish it, and jacks, queens and kings are people. Add jokers as wild cards: something unexpected changes the scene.
